BrainSmart has been developed by Anne Paterson and Clare Edwards. We met in 2007 at a Professional HR conference and found that we both had much in common; from the University where we studied our management Diploma, to the nature of the services we were delivering to corporate clients and our drive for excellence.
We are graduates of the Neuroscience of Leadership (Neuroleadership), professional facilitators and trainers with extensive experience working at senior management level with multinational organisations. We share a lifelong passion for developing ourselves, a fascination with understanding people and helping organisations effectively engage with their people.
In 2013 we started sharing our Neuroleadership insights and something clicked. Every time we helped our clients to understand their motivation, thinking and behaviours from the perspective of the brain, light bulbs of understanding came on and people experienced many ‘aha moments’.
We saw our clients actively implementing the strategies and getting results. Leaders were beginning to understand how the brain impacted their responses to change and their capacity to lead.
By understanding how they could harness the power of their mind, participants improved their emotional intelligence, gained greater focus and productivity and the result was improved collaboration, reduced stress levels and an increased sense of wellbeing.
Though BrainSmart is a relatively new collaborative venture for Anne and Clare, we have been working with clients from across the globe and a wide variety of industry sectors for over 20 years. Some of the clients we are serving individually and working in partnership include:
